Here is a super cute tote bag that I made for my daughter. We absolutely love all things kawaii but the kawaii pencil and crayons are definitely in our top three!

I have used my usual acrylic Hobby Lobby-Crafters Secret yarn and my go to crochet hook, 4.50mm Clover Amour Pencil Hook.
Yarn: Pepper.com, Dark Ivory, Yellow, Graybeard, Passport, Hot Rose
The pattern has many techniques and color changes. Because of this, the pattern is for intermediate-advanced crocheters.
My new and favorite stitch is The Heartsprinkle Stitch. I have made a tutorial on the technique to help you understand go the stitches are made. Click here to see the video.
I started a new technique called the invisible join. From what my testers have told me, they absolutely love the look of it. With this technique, your seam is hard to find. So here I have provided a small pictorial. I hope it is helpful!
Invisible Join
1. Insert your hook at the top of the double crochet loops from back to front. Make sure that the tail is behind your hook.
2. Pull loop from front to back.
3. Make loops as tall as a double crochet. This is the join. You will now pretend that the long loop is your yarn. Pinch the loop in place and yarn over. Continue on with the double crochet pretending that this long loop is your working yarn and yarning over with it. Insert hook into the first stitch (which is the same loops you joined into). Yarn over pull through two. Yarn over. Pull through two. This is your first double crochet stitch for the new row. Make sure you mark the top of the stitch to help you keep track of the loops to join into at the end of the row!
Invisible Join Color Change
1. Repeat steps 1-3 from normal invisible join. But on step 3, you will join the new yarn and make a long loop. With your new yarn make a slip knot and make the loop as long as you need for a double crochet.
2. Insert new yarn into loop. Tighten the old yarn above the knot you made.
3. Now the new yarn is your current yarn.
